Sunshine in a Jar

February 7, 2017 by Golden Door

Check out the latest buzz at Golden Door! We are proud to present the newest addition to our artisanal food family- Wildflower Honey.

Our pure, homegrown honey is collected from Golden Door hives tended in our 600 acres of gardens and citrus groves. Executive Chef Greg Frey, Jr. is an experienced beekeeper who is passionate about raising honey bees to sustain our ecosystem while producing this light, refreshing treat that makes life sweeter.

  • It takes 1-1/2 to 2 million flowers to produce just one pound of honey.
  • On average, 10,000 bees will travel 55,000 miles to collect one pound of honey.
  • Each bee contributes just 1/12 teaspoon of honey in its lifetime.

We are so proud of our sunshine in a jar, which is healthful with citrus notes. The Wildflower Honey, along with our many other artisanal food and beauty products were recently featured on HSN by our very own Kathy Van Ness.

The partnership went so well that we sold out of ALL the honey! Don’t worry though, we will have more in stock by the end of the month. In the mean time, be sure to check out our shop at http://shop.goldendoor.com/.

Wildflower Honey runs  $18.00  (12 oz. jar)

100% of Golden Door profits go to help end child abuse and transform young lives.
