About Us

The Golden Door experience has been designed to empower our guests to reposition themselves at the center of their own lives by tending to their bodies, their minds and their spirits. Here, a hike is as much a rigorous morning exercise as it is a chance to reflect on the day ahead, and a meal is the means by which we learn to satisfy rather than simply feed our hunger.

Through our program of fitness training and refined nourishment coupled with indulgent, caring spa treatments, we work with our guests to treat their bodies with the respect and care they deserve.

Guest Programs: Michelle Schlekewey

Director of Guest Programs

In her role as Director of Guest Programs and Services, Michelle firmly believes that pampering is a holistic part of a guest’s well-being in life, and particularly while at Golden Door, where it is yin to the yang of rigorous exercise. Michelle finds inspiration in the rich natural experience of the property and the natural ingredients grown here. While on property, she notes, guests experience the goodness of these healthful natural ingredients in the food they eat and in their spa treatments, which she calls “goodness both inside and out.”
